Republican National Hispanic Assembly: Bridging Hispanic Values and Conservative Principles

The Republican National Hispanic Assembly (RNHA), founded in 1974, stands as the largest national federation of Latino Republicans in the United States. With a mission to advance the America First movement, promote conservative Latino candidates, and aid in the election of Republicans nationwide, the RNHA has become a pivotal organization within the political landscape.

Harmonizing Hispanic Cultural Values with Republican Principles

The RNHA emphasizes the alignment between Hispanic cultural values and the core principles of the Republican Party. According to Eduardo Andrade, RNHA National 2nd Vice-Chair & Chairman of the North Carolina Republican National Hispanic Assembly, both groups share a commitment to traditional Christian morals, the rule of law, and the preservation of the nuclear family. These shared values foster a vision where Hispanic Americans can thrive and pursue the American Dream, underpinned by a belief in limited government and the importance of small businesses.

Community Outreach: A Record of Success

The RNHA boasts numerous successful community outreach initiatives. Their efforts range from flipping rural mayoral seats in North Carolina to contributing to Ron DeSantis's decisive victory in Florida's 2022 gubernatorial election. They also played a crucial role in the re-election campaign of Donald Trump in 2020 and are actively involved in the 2024 campaign. The RNHA's state and county chapters engage in various political activities, including civic engagement courses, voter registration drives, and community events aimed at increasing Hispanic political participation.

The RNHA recognizes the importance of involving young Hispanic Americans in the political process. In North Carolina, several young Hispanics serve on the state leadership board, reflecting a tradition of youth leadership within the national RNHA. The organization is also developing a nationwide Teen Outreach initiative to prepare the next generation of conservative leaders.

Collaboration with Local and National Groups

Collaboration is key to the RNHA's strategy. In North Carolina, the RNHA has a strong partnership with the state’s Republican Party (NCGOP) to boost Latino voter turnout. Plans are underway to establish county chapters across the state, including in Burke County, where the RNHA is already working closely with local GOP officials.

Membership and Support

The RNHA is inclusive, welcoming Republicans of any race, age, or gender. Prospective members can join via the state website (www.rnhanc.org), gaining access to a network of dedicated activists committed to re-electing Donald Trump and supporting the America First Movement.

The RNHA hosts national and state conventions and collaborates with other groups for town halls and Meet the Candidates events. These gatherings focus on issues pertinent to the Hispanic community and broader conservative topics.

Personal Motivation and Impact

Emmanuel “Manny” Ruiz, the RNHA National Director of Communications & the North Carolina RNHA Communications Director, personal motivation to join the RNHA is rooted in his family's history. His father, a political refugee from Colombia, experienced the chaos that can unfold under corrupt governance—an experience that resonates with many Latinos in the U.S. The RNHA's impact is evident in success stories like the Craven RNHA chapter, which has assisted Latino business owners, distributed school supplies, and supported local electoral campaigns, including the election of the Mayor of New Bern.

The RNHA continues to play a vital role in integrating Hispanic cultural values with conservative principles, ensuring that the voices of Latino Republicans are heard and represented across the United States.

Ever Vigilant,

Night Ryder
