12,000 People Baptized: "God is Not Done with America"

Thousands of people came together for an event on May 18 and 19, which was named 'Baptize California'. CBN News reported on Tuesday that a big part of the weekend was a main-stage event at Huntington Beach, where many speakers and worship leaders were present.

People at the event were seen praying for others, and some held up signs saying, "Jesus is King.” The official Facebook page of Baptize California posted on Wednesday, "We will never forget what God did this weekend. This is revival."

According to CBN, early numbers show that there were over 6,000 baptisms at Huntington Beach, with another 6,000 at different churches across California. One person on social media who went to the Huntington Beach event said that there were 60 spots set up to help with the baptisms.

Reflecting on this amazing gathering, the founder of the event, Pastor Mark Francey of Oceans Church, said, “You can smell another Great Awakening in the air like rain before it hits. God lit a match yesterday. If God can do this in the church in California, it can - and it will - happen in the rest of America... God is not done with America, and we are convinced that if we can unite the Church and turn fully back to Jesus, He will heal our land.”

Francey had earlier organized 'Baptize SoCal' in 2023, which had almost 4,200 baptisms. He has been carefully planning the recent event ever since, and is very happy with the result, saying, “It was a surreal and extraordinary day. It felt like we were living in the pages of the book of Acts.

Francey is thinking about something even bigger for the next year, calling it ‘Baptize America'. He strongly encouraged people to get ready and sign up their churches for the event scheduled for June 8. “Now we are gearing up to do this and unite the church all over America,” he said.

This exciting story of the ‘Baptize California’ event gives believers an image of something that they have been waiting so long to see. It shows the strength of people's shared faith and encourages believers across the country. The excitement and movement seen at 'Baptize California’ gives us hope for a country-wide revival.
