Hello Burke County,
I remember my classmates enthusiastically talking about their plans to leave the county after graduation and explore the bigger world. Many went on to further studies, while others found jobs and moved away. But for me, Burke County was the only place I wanted to live. It was my home, with my family around me. Now, I have my own family here and I am putting down even deeper roots.
Over time, Burke County has seen many changes. Some of these changes have been good for our community, while others have been less beneficial. But one thing that hasn't changed is the nature of the people who live here. Most of our residents are really good people. They are proud of a hard days work and are honest and hardworking. They are always ready to help their neighbors, showing a sense of togetherness and friendship. What I respect and admire the most is their strong love for God and their country.
Vanguard Voices was created with these people in mind. My goal is to highlight the topics that need attention, helping to increase awareness and understanding. We aim to give these voices a place to be heard and appreciated. Our goal is to represent the voice of the quiet majority, bringing attention to the issues that matter to our community.
